The whole school came together on Thursday 04 May as we celebrated the Coronation of HM King Charles III.
The whole school community is saddened to hear of the death of Mr Leslie Spearman, former Principal of Waringstown Primary School.
Mr Spearman was a much respected figure within the village for many years and served faithfully as principal overseeing the replacement of the original 1933 school building we recognise today.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this sad time.

Junior & Senior Choirs Win at Portadown Festival
I wish to congratulate the boys and girls of both the Junior and Senior Choirs for their outstanding prize-winning performances at Portadown Music Festival. It was wonderful to have over one hundred children travelling to take part in the festival.
Mrs K Park (Conductor of the Junior Choir) and Mrs J Erskine (Conductor of the Senior Choir) were both extremely proud to receive the high praise from the Adjudicator of the Festival.
The Junior Choir won their Class and were presented with The Ferguson Cup.
The Senior Choir won their Class and were presented with J S Bright Silver Shield.
The Senior Choir were awarded the highest mark over all the Classes and were presented with The Ulster Teachers Union Cup with a cheque to the value of £100.
Thank you and very well-done Mrs Park and Mrs Erskine for training the choirs! We were so proud to see such overwhelming parental support in the Mayes Hall at Craigavon Civic Centre during the Festival. Be assured we never take this support for granted. Thank you!

Recently our whole school joined together for a Remembrance Assembly. Mr McCambley led the assembly, highlighting the importance of the Poppy, explaining to the children how the leaf of the poppy should always be set at the 11 o'clock position. This is to remind us of the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month when the armistice was signed. The children participated in the assembly and carried out the act of remembrance to remember those who died.
Dear parent / s
This week, we plan to celebrate Harvest season with an Assembly. You may wish to send your child to school with an item for the Food Bank. However, in these current financial times we know the strain facing every household, so there is no obligation. We also know that many of you already support Food Bank initiatives in store.
Please be advised that our School Cook is preparing a special Harvest Season meal (see attached menu) to be enjoyed on Thursday 06 October.
The meal may be booked as normal via Eduspot.

The whole school community came together to mark the death and to celebrate the life of The Queen, Elizabeth The Great!
We recalled the servant aspect of her life and remembered how we celebrated her Platinum Jubilee in May.
Mr McCambley had posted all of the school cards off to Windsor Castle in June and just this week received a beautiful letter and commemorative booklet from Balmoral Castle informing our school community of how touched HM The Queen was to receive such beautiful, handmade cards.
The children behaved impeccably this morning in our very first whole school assembly as we marked this remarkable day in history and the life of our nation.
