You can run Scratch online without needing ANY software. Just visit https://scratch.mit.edu and click the "TRY IT OUT" link. There you will find over 12 MILLION projects uploaded by children all  over the world, so you'll have plenty of ideas. If you like a project, just click the "SEE INSIDE" link to have a peek at how they coded it! Play about with the code and see what changes. 

Your other option is to install Scratch 2 on your PC which allows you to code OFFLINE (ie. when you don't have a wifi connection). This option also allows you to make videos of your scratch projects in action. Just follow the instructions on this page https://scratch.mit.edu/scratch2download/
